Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team fell to NJAC rival Rowan University today at the Bradley Center 160-92. The Roadrunners now stand at 1-2 overall, 0-2 in the NJAC while the Profs improve to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
Maggie Herbert captured a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle when she clocked in at 2:01.57.
Julia Housel posted a first place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.58) while Herbert out touched the field in the 50-yard freestyle to win in 24.71.
The 400-yard medley relay team made up of J. Housel,
Brenda Arthur,
Meghan Trewhella and Herbert posted a time of 4:15.09 for a second place finish. Herbert placed second overall in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.16 while J. Housel posted a time of 2:18.95 in the 200-yard backstroke, also coming in second place.
Sarah Stacey finished second in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:46.75 while Arthur posted a time of 1:02.54 in the 100-yard butterfly for a second place finish.
