Box Score 1 Mahwah, NJ: In the opening game of the 2015 President's Cup, the Ramapo College men's soccer team defeated Western New England, 2-0 to improve to 1-0-1 overall on the season and advance to tomorrow's championship game.

Ryan Campbell who scored what turned out to be the game winner at the 15:13 minute mark as he took a pass from junior
Nick Brancato. The goal was Campbell's second goal of his collegiate career. The remainder of the first half went scoreless where Western New England out shot Ramapo 12-7. Sophomore
Ryan Sprague made seven saves in the first half of play for Ramapo.
In the second half,
Justin Olaya gave Ramapo a 2-0 advantage off a corner kick that landed at the foot of
Bayley Young, who dished the ball to Olaya. The goal came at 60:02. The score stood until the final buzzer giving the Roadrunners their first win of the season.
The Golden Bears again out shot Ramapo in the second half, 9-4. Sprague made an additional five saves to finish the game with 12 for his first shut out of the season. Kevin Strobel made just two saves in goal for the Golden Bears.In the second match of the day, Elms College and Rhode Island College faced off where Elms came out on top, 3-2, to advance to the championship game against the Roadrunners tomorrow at 3:30pm. Elms improves to 1-0 on the year while RI falls to 0-2.
In the first half, Elms posted a goal at 39:32 when Donald Whittle connected on a pass from Connor O'Grady. The score held until the halftime buzzer. Elms out shot Rhode Island 6-4 in the half.
Rhode Island tied up the score with 41:38 remaining off a free kick from Dan Monteiro but Elms fired back at 73:03 when Shaquille Robinson ripped a ball to the back of the net off a pass from CJ Dabkowski. Elms added insurance with just under six minutes to play when Whittle struck again on an unassisted goal to put his team ahead, 3-1, but RI didn't stop adding a second goal with just about a minute to play from Komla Dogbey. Rhode Island out shot Elms 10-6 in the final half of play.
Elms goalkeepers Christian Kostka and Nicolas Pennant split goaltending duties combining for five saves in the game while Chris Moura made three in the loss.
Western New England will play tomorrow in a consolation match-up at 1pm against Rhode Island while Elms takes on the Roadrunners at 3:30pm in the championship game.
