Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Rampao College women's lacrosse team played host to NJAC rival Richard Stockton College today at the Athletic Center. The Ospreys defeated the Roadrunners, 14-7, in the final regular season home game of the season.
The Ospreys now stand at 10-5 overall, 2-4 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners end the season at 4-9 overall, 1-5 in the conference.
Stockton took a, 5-0, lead in the first ten minutes of play, scoring five straight goals. Colleen Knight, Nicole Miller, Zoey Carpenter and Alicia Leadbeater all scored goals for the Ospreys.
Itati Aburto scored on a free position shot for the Roadrunners before Stockton's Carlie Flake scored her 33rd goal of the season to take a, 6-1 lead.
Teresa Gustafson tallied her fifth goal of the season on a free position shot before the Ospreys tallied two late goals in the first half to take an, 8-2 lead.
In the second half, the Roadrunners came within four, 10-6 with just under 10 minutes to play on a goal from
Monica Torres, her 15th of the season. She was assisted by Michell Gustafson. Stockton scored the four goals while the Roadrunners tallied one goal in the final 19 minutes of play.
Flake, Kramer and Carpenter all tallied three goals for the Ospreys. Stockton held a 29-22 advantage in shots. Mary Stornes recorded eight saves in the net for the Ospreys.
Reagan Vier tallied 12 saves in the game for the Roadrunners while T. Gustafson and Aburto each scored two goals for Ramapo.
