Anthony Pasciolla led the Ramapo College men's soccer team to a 2-1 non-conference victory today over the Devils of FDU-Florham to improve to 2-0-1 overall on the year. The Roadrunners handed the Devils their first loss of the 2013 season falling to 1-1.
After a scoreless first half, where Ramapo held a slight advantage in shots, 4-3, junior
Dan Boffa laid the ball off to Pasciolla in the 67th minute to take a 1-0 lead over the Devils. Just short of two minutes later, Andrew Ruane knotted the game at 1-1 on an unassisted goal at 68:29. The Roadrunners quickly fought back to again take the lead with 19:55 left to play, when Pasciolla again capitalized on a dished ball, this time from rookie
Joao Navarro.
Sophomore
Brian Petrunik held the Devils for the final minutes earning the 2-1 victory in non-conference soccer action. Petrunik blocked two shots for the Roadrunners while Nick Mihalik made three saves in net for the Devils in the full 90 minutes of play.
The Roadrunners will travel to Troy, New York when they return to action on Saturday, September 7th for a 7:00pm match-up with RPI.
