Box Score 2 Purchase, NY: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team went 1-1 today as they defeated NYU-Poly, 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-14), before falling short to Skyline rival, Sage, 1-3 (25-17, 23-25, 24-26, 26-28). With the win, and loss, the Roadrunners stand at 19-9 overall and 12-3 in the conference.
Nick Hrehovcik and
Chris Sidnam led the Roadrunners' offensive game in the team's first match-up of the day, recording eight kills each, while senior setter
Harsh Prajapati dished out a team high 30 assists in the win.
Peter Desvousges led the defense with four digs and Sidnam put away three solo blocks. The team combined hitting .393 with 34 kills on 61 attempts and ten errors.
In the team's loss against Sage, Hrehovcik and Sidnam again led the team's offense, collecting 12 and nine kills respectively.
Andrew Balint added eight kills and
Mike Kane and Brain Colabella each picked up seven apiece. Prajapati assisted on 44 points and
Aaron Kerschner picked up a team leading 12 digs. Ramapo hit .276 with 44 total kills.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, April 10th when they travel to SUNY New Paltz for their final regular season match-up at 7pm.
