Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's basketball team fell to Brooklyn College today, 70-73 in overtime. The Roadrunners fall to 1-2 overall while the Bulldogs improve to 2-1.

Kelly Haspel led the Roadrunners in the first half with seven points while senior
Alayna Donadio grabbed a team high five rebounds and posted six points. Ramapo led 9-5 with 15:31 left in the first half as Haspel drained a three off a pass from senior
Anna Fucci. Ramapo went on a 11-4 run to take a a 20-9 lead with 9:38 on the clock as Donadio sank two foul shots. The Bulldogs would then go on a 7-2 run of their own to cut the lead to 22-16 with 7:44 left in the first half. They would shrink the lead to two, 25-23 with two made foul shots by Nacirema Mann before Haspel nailed a jumper off a pass from Fucci, 27-23 with 1:32 left in the half. Ramapo shot 26% in the first half from the field and 90% from the foul line.
The game turned out to be a tale of two halves as the Bulldogs nailed seven three-pointers to out score the Roadrunners 38-34. Ramapo hit a jumper to open the second half before the Bulldogs went on a 4-1 run to come within one, 29-28, with 17:40 on the clock. Ramapo extended their lead with a 7-0 run capped off with a three-pointer from Haspel, to take a nine point lead with 15:30 on the clock, 37-28. Ramapo held a 12 point lead twice in the second half (12:11 & 10:42) before the Bulldogs went on a 7-0 run of their own to shrink the lead to five, 45-40, with 9:25 on the clock. A made jumper by the Roadrunners extended the lead to eight with just over five minutes to play in the game, 54-46 before Brooklyn would make four straight three-point baskets to take a one point lead 58-57 with 1:42 on the clock. Moore sank two foul shots to regain a one point lead, 59-58 (1:22) before a made foul shot from Brooklyn tied the game for the third time at 59 all with 1:01 on the clock. Moore was fouled with 43 seconds remaining as she scored one out of two shots for a one point lead, 60-59. Megan Campbell hit a jumper for the Bulldogs, 61-60 with 14 seconds on the clock before rookie
Bintou Berete hit the first of a two shot foul to tie the game at 61 with four second left in the second half. Brooklyn could not get a shot off in the final seconds sending the game into overtime.
Moore put the Roadrunners up, 64-61, with 4:33 in OT before Campbell nailed a three-pointer for the Bulldogs to tie the game at 64. They would extend their lead to five with a made foul shot from Jaclyn Grasso with 1:56 left in the game, 69-64. Ramapo made back to back shots from Haspel and
Tierney Henderson to come within one, 68-69, with 1:20 on the clock. The Bulldogs out shot the Roadrunners 4-2 down the stretch to come away with the 73-70 come from behind victory.
For the Bulldogs, Carissa Williams led the team with 24 points and seven rebounds while she drained five shots from beyond the three point line. Campbell scored 19 points, including three from beyond the three point line. The Bulldogs shot 43% from the field , 40% from the three-point line and 41% from the foul line.
Moore led both teams with 26 points and nine rebounds as she as 8-16 from the floor and 10-11 from the foul line. Haspel scored ten points while she collected three steals and three assists. Junior
Kerrie Kosakowski dished out a team high five assists while Donadio tallied seven rebounds and eight points. Ramapo shot 38% from the field and 80% from the foul line.
The Roadrunners return to action this Saturday, November 23th when they host NJAC rival New Jersey City University at 1:00pm.
