Box Score Glassboro, NJ:  Kelly Haspel netted a team-high ten points and Micaela Moore grabbed 13 boards in Ramapo's 55-39 women's basketball victory over Rowan University today on the road.  With the New Jersey Athletic Conference win, the Roadrunners improve to 9-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference.  The Profs fall to 4-9 overall with a  0-6 NJAC mark. 

Haspel led Ramapo with ten points while forwards Alex Milne and Moore contributed with nine and eight points respectively.  Moore blocked five shots and guard Faith Flannery collected eight points and seven rebounds in the win.  Guards Jackie Jerkovich and Kerrie Kosakowski chipped in with seven points apiece.    

The Roadrunners took a ten-point, 24-14 half time lead after opening the game with a 5-0 run just 3:28 in.  Rowan's Eyandra Molina sank two foul shots at 13:02, which tied the score at five, before a 10-0 Ramapo run gave the Roadrunners a 15-5 advanatge.  Flannery capped off the run at the 9:01 minute mark with a layup.  Rowan's Jade Bonder hit a jumper at 4:30 to close the gap, 14-19, but the Roadrunners closed the period with five straight points earning the 24-14 lead heading into the intermission.

In the second period, Ramapo led by 11 points, 32-21, at the 15 minute mark after a layup by Moore, and Jerkovich hit a three-pointer at 12:57, giving the Roadrunners a 35-23 edge.  Milne sparked and capped off a 7-0 spurt giving Ramapo a 17-point lead, 51-34, with 1:13 to play, and the two teams traded baskets until the final buzzer, earning Ramapo the conference win.

Molina totaled 17 points and nine rebounds leading the Profs.

The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, January 9th when they host NJAC rival William Paterson at 5:30pm at the Bradley Center.
