Tiffany Fischer drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth in game one for a 4-3 victory in eight innings and
Lauren Shaw picked up two wins for Ramapo as the Roadrunners swept Richard Stockton, 4-3 (8) and 2-1 Saturday afternoon in NJAC softball action at the Athletic Center.
The Roadrunners improve to 21-5 overall and 6-4 in the conference while the Ospreys fall to 19-9 overall and 2-8 in the NJAC.
The Roadrunners got on the board early in the bottom of the first after back-to-back home runs by
Tiffany Fischer and
Danielle Rothenberger. Fisher knocked out her first home run of the season to left center while Rothenberger followed with a team-leading sixth home run to left field.
Richard Stockton tacked on a run in the top of the third inning after an RBI single to right field by Katelyn Derewecki scoring Ally Roma, who led off the inning with a double to right field.
Ramapo's Rothenberger knocked out her second homer of the day to left center in the bottom of the third to give the Roadrunners a 3-1 lead.
Richard Stockton got things going in the bottom of the sixth. Sophomore Grace Long singled to short to start off the inning. After a pitching change for the Roadrunners,
Lauren Shaw struck out the next Osprey. Richard Stockton's Nicole Chabak singled to second putting runners on first and second for the Osprey's. Stockton then loaded the bases after a walk to Stephanie Darrow. Pinch hitter Jenna Kinter reached on a fielder's choice scoring the Osprey's second run of the game and Roma hit a sacrifice fly to center to tie the game at 3-3.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Ramapo's Fischer knocked in the game-winning run with a single to left field for a 4-3 victory in extra innings.
Fischer went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run while Rothenberger went 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs in the first game of the doubleheader.

Lauren Shaw pitched the final three innings of the game for Ramapo striking out five batters and posting her 12th victory of the season. Roadrunners
Nicole Schneider pitched the first five innings for the Roadrunners before being relieved by Shaw in the sixth.
Richard Stockton's Michelle Pietrocola was credited with the loss falling to 8-4 on the season. The sophomore struck out 16 Roadrunners letting up four hits and four runs in game.
The Roadrunners took an early 2-0 lead in the second game after an RBI groundout to shortstop by Rothenberger with runners on first and second. Lima started off the inning with a walk and Fischer followed with a hit by beating out the throw from shortstop setting up Rothenberger. Catcher
Lisa Orlando hit an RBI single up the middle to drive in the second Roadrunner run of the inning.
Richard Stockton scored its only run of the game in the top of the seventh inning after Grace Long doubled to right center and was driven home by Heather Corcia.
Ramapo's Shaw pitched a complete game picking up her second win of the day, improving to 13-3. Shaw let up just two hits and struck out three.
Richard Stockton's Jamie Gasko took the loss falling to 7-8 on the season pitching the first four innings and was relieved by Brittany Ksiezopolski in the final two.
Fischer led the Roadrunners in the second game going 2-for-3 with one run while Rothenberger and Orlando drove in the only runs for Ramapo.
Stockton's Long and pinch hitter Heather Corica were the only Osprey's to register a hit against Ramapo's Shaw.
The Roadrunners will return to action on April 17 at New Jersey City University for a 3pm doubleheader.
