Farmingdale, NY: The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse improved to 5-0 in the Skyline with a 15-4 victory today over visiting Ramapo College. The Rams are currently 9-1 overall, while the Roadrunners fall to 4-7, 1-5 in conference play.
Farmingdale State held a 12-0 lead at the break and scored three more in the second half as they held on for the win.
Senior attack Krystin Shand (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and junior attack Carly Schneider (Merrick, N.Y.) each scored four goals for Farmingdale State, who outshot Ramapo 39-17. Freshman midfielder Christy Thoden (Bayport, N.Y.) finished with three goals, two assists and nine draw controls, increasing her season total to 76 draw controls to date, just two shy of tying the single season school record. Junior midfielder Jillian Pironti (Seaford, N.Y.) posted a career-high three goals and one assist for the game.

Reagan Vier (Mahwah, N.J.) made 14 saves in defeat.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday when they host Skyline foe Sage College at 1pm. The Roadrunners will honor the senior class in a pre-game ceremony.
