Women's Lacrosse

LADY ROADRUNNERS FALL TO MOUNT SAINT VINCENT, 10-9

Bronx, NY:  The Ramapo College women's lacrosse team fell to Mount Saint Vincent on the road tonight, 10-9 in Skyline Conference action. The Roadrunners now stand at 4-6 overall 1-4 in the conference.

Mount Saint Vincent (3-6, 2-2 Skyline) jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Amanda Barretta and Amanda Ferry got Ramapo on the board with back to back goals to tie the game at two with 12 minutes to go in the first half. The Dolphins posted back to back goals of their own to take a 4-2 lead before Barretta scored on a free position shot to come within one, 4-3. Danisleydis Hernandez scored an unassisted goal for Ramapo to tie the game with 3:16 on the clock before the Dolphins scored a goal a minute later, 5-4 a lead they kept going into halftime.

Ramapo scored the first goal of the second half, by Ferry tying the game at five. The Dolphins pulled away scoring three straight goals to take an 8-5 lead with 23 minutes left in the game. Ramapo nearly tallied the come back win with four late second half goals to the Dolphin's two. Ferry and Adrianna Tepedino hit the back of the net to come within one, 9-8 with 6:28 left on the clock before Barretta scored unassisted to tie the game at nine with just under three minutes to play. The Dolphins scored the game winning goal on a free position shot with 2:17 to play as the Roadrunners could not tie the game.

Ferry led the team with four goals while Barretta tallied three goals and one assist. Reagan Vier posted 15 saves in the loss for Ramapo.

The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to Farmingdale State College on April 12th for a 4:00 PM Skyline game.
