Box Score Camden, NJ:  Sophomore Jackie Jerkovich paced the Ramapo College women's basketball team to a 44-41 road NJAC win over Rutgers-Camden University today.

Jerkovich led the team with 14 points and three steals. Junior Micaela Moore added eight points and eight rebounds while senior Faith Flannery chipped in six points and three steals.

With the two teams tied at the half, 18-18, Rutgers-Camden stretched their lead to six, their biggest lead of the game with 6:06 left on the clock with a three pointer by Brittney Turner. Ramapo answered back with three straight baskets to take a one point lead, 35-34, capped off by a jumper by Jerkovich at 4:49. The Scarlet Raptors when up by three, 38-35 (3:39) before Jerkovich hit a three point basket off a pass from Flannery to tie the game for the sixth time (3:14).

In the final 2:20 in the game Ramapo regained the lead for good. Moore sank two foul shots at 2:19 while Flannery added two made foul shots of her own with 14 seconds on the clock to take a four point lead, 42-38. Rutgers-Camden hit a three point basket of her own to come within one, 42-41 with six ticks left on the clock before Moore was fouled with three seconds left in the game sending her to the foul line. Moore made two foul shots, 44-41 before time expired as the Scarlet Raptors could not get a shot off and Ramapo came away with the victory.

The Roadrunners remain undefeated at 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raptors now stand at 2-2 and 1-2 in the conference.

Ramapo shot 30% (16-52) from the field and 71% (10-14) from the foul line while the Scarlet Raiders shot 26% (15-56) from the field and 53% (8-15) from the foul line.

Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to NJAC rival Montclair State University for a 6pm game.
