RAMAPO DOWNS DEVILS, 4-2

Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team defeated non-conference foe Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham today, 4-2 to remain undefeated on the 2011 season.

The Devils got on the board with 4:35 left in the first half on a goal by Josh Corpuz to put FDU-Florham up, 1-0 before the Roadrunners would score three straight goals in the second half to take the lead.

Ramapo's Joseph Kane knocked in a ball sent in by Jonathan Yazo on a corner kick to even the score at one before Rob Santaniello hit the back of the net with his seventh goal of the season also set up by Yazo to go up 2-1. Yazo would score his own goal with 18 minutes to go in the game when Ramapo was awarded a free kick and Yazo converted for his second goal of the season.

FDU made it interesting with a late goal by Brent Hasko before Kane tallied his second goal of the game, he was assisted by Yazo to take a 4-2 lead. The Ramapo defense would hold off the Devil attack the final two minutes of the game for the win.

Ramapo out shot the Devils, 19-9 while FDU held a slight advantage in corner kick, 6-5. Ramapo's Steve Monaghan posted five saves for Ramapo in the win.

The Roadrunners return to action this Saturday when they travel to Eastern Connecticut State University at 2:00 PM.
