Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team defeated NJAC rival The College of New Jersey today at the Athletic Center, 3-2 in overtime.
Danny Walsh hit the back of the net with the golden goal and the win for the Roadrunners on a cross by
Rob Santaniello six minutes into the overtime period.
Joseph Kane scored his third goal of the season 22:35 into the first half off a pass from
Jonathan Yazo to go up 1-0 before TCNJ scored twice in a four minute span in the second half.
Sean Casey and Anthony DiPalmo recorded back to back goals to go up 2-1, each their first goal of the season.
In the 85th minute Santaniello put the ball into the back of the net, his team leading ninth goal of the year, to tie the game at two on a diving header before the game would go into overtime.
The Lions out shot Ramapo, 23-11 in the game while holding a 7-3 edge in corner kicks. Ramapo's
David Lo Bue posted seven saves in the game while Aaron Utman tallied four for the Lions.
Ramapo returns to action on September 21st when they travel to non-conference rival Western New England for a 4:00 pm start.
