Mahwah, NJ: Senior Alli Dickey scattered nine goals across the 60 minute game to lead the Rowan Profs to a 19-3 New Jersey Athletic Conference women's lacrosse victory over the Roadrunners of Ramapo College today at the Athletic Center. With the 16-goal victory the Profs improve to .500, 4-4 overall. Ramapo falls to .500, also standing at 4-4.
Dickey opened up the scoring with back-to-back goals just 28 seconds and 4:10 into the game before Vicky Sucharski took a dish from Dickey to give the Profs a 3-0 edge just over five minutes in. Ellen Brigham (2) and Trish Harrington gave Rowan a six goal advantage before
Amanda Barretta put away three staright goals for Ramapo to close the gap, 6-3. Dickey was too much for Ramapo hitting the back of the net with three straight to put Rowan up, 9-3. Michelle Lubrano and Dickey struck again with goals at 22:45 and 23:13 respectively earning the Profs an 11-3 halftime lead.
Rowan out shot the Roadrunners 26-10 in the first half while Lindsay Barrie was forced to make just five saves in the net.
Samantha Litchfield made five saves of her own for the Roadrunners.
Dickey again opened the scoring in the second half and added two additional goals while Leah Hershey, Sucharski, Harrington, and Caitlin Ravel (2) each posted points for the Profs. Ramapo was left scoreless in the final 30 minutes of play for a 19-3 Rowan victory in Mahwah.
The Profs again held a scoring edge, 12-10, and Barrie added six saves for 11 total on the day. Litchfield finished with eight saves adding three in the final half.
The Roadrunners will return to action on Thursday, April 7th when they travel to Sage for a 4pm match-up.
