SANTANIELLO NETS FOUR GOALS IN 6-0 BLANKING OF DEVILS

Madison, NJ: Sophomore Rob Santaniello (Oakland, NJ) tallied four goals and one assist in a 6-0 shutout of Fairleigh Dickinson at Florham today on the road. The Roadrunners improve to 4-0 on the season while the Devils drop to 2-2.

Santaniello recorded the game winning goal 29:18 into the game off a pass from junior Robert Nalesnik (Wayne, NJ). Sophomore Brett Tracey (Mahwah, NJ) recorded his first goal of the season off a pass from Santaniello at 32:25 before Santaniello picked up his second goal of the game, 38:33 into the half, he was assisted by Giuseppe Nicola Trani (Wayne, NJ).

Santaniello and Nalesnik teamed up again as he scored his third goal of the game, to put the Roadrunners ahead, 4-0. going into halftime. Ramapo recorded ten shots to the Devils three in the first half.

In the second half the Devils scored an own goal 72 minutes into the game before Santaniello scored his fourth goal, ninth of the season, unassisted to lead the Roadrunners to a 6-0 victory.

Rookie goalkeeper Benjamin Reuter (Wanaque, NJ) made two saves in the game, picking up his second shutout of the season. Sophomore goalkeeper Tim Kirk (Pompton Lakes, NJ/Pompton Lakes) took the loss, making eight saves.

The Roadrunners return to action against non-conference rival Eastern Connecticut State on Saturday at 2:00 PM
