Camden, NJ: The Ramapo College women's lacrosse team defeated NJAC foe Rutgers-Camden University today on the road, 15-3. The Roadrunners improve to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
Sophomore
Amanda Barretta (Roseland, NJ) scored a team high five goals for Ramapo, her second goal in the first half ended up being the game winning goal with 11:27 left in the half. Sophomore
Christina Cigolini (Ridgewood, NJ) and
Colleen Steel (Wyckoff, NJ) each hit the back of the next three times while sophomore
Jessica Long (Wayne, NJ) tallied a pair of goals in the game. Junior
Jenna Pfarr (Cranford, NJ) and rookie
Adrianna Tepedino (Freehold, NJ) each added a goal and two assists.
Senior
Megan Tierney (Wayne, NJ) recorded eight saves in the victory. Ramapo picked up 12 ground balls and 14 draw controls while causing seven turnovers in the game.
The Roadrunners return to action Tuesday, April 6th at 4:00 PM when they host Maritime College in a Skyline match-up.
