Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's basketball team defeated John Jay College, 60-38 tonight at the Bradley Center snapping a three game losing streak. The Roadrunners improve to 9-14 overall.

Alexa Ryan (Hazlet, NJ) started a 7-0 run for Ramapo with a three pointer at 10:42 she was assisted by junior
Brittany Hoffman (Belford, NJ) before Cannizzaro made back to back baskets to go up, 15-10 with 8:13 to go in the half. Ramapo saw their largest lead in the half come with 33 seconds to go as Reilly drained a jumper to go up 31-22 heading into the locker room.
In the second half the Bloodhounds' Dominique Grice (North Babylon, NY) and Jessica Lirio (Bronx, NY) made back to back baskets before Lirio also made a foul shot to come within four, 31-27 with 18:43 to go in the game. Ramapo went on an 8-0 run capped off by Cannizzaro making one of two foul shots to go up, 39-27 with 14:15 remaining.
Beddoe sunk back to back three pointers for the Bloodhounds to cut the lead to 56-36 with four minutes remaining in the game before Ryan made a layup and rookie
Tiffany Osorio (North Brunswick, NJ) was fouled and made both shots to take a 60-36 lead with fifty-five seconds to go. Lirio hit a jumper which was the last shot of the game, 60-38.
Cannizzaro posted 18 points and six rebounds with five blocked shots while Ryan tallied 13 points and four assists in the game. Junior
Danielle Beam (Middletown, NJ) grabbed a team high 12 rebounds while scoring eight points with three blocks. Hoffman tallied a team high seven assists in the game while Reilly grabbed eight rebounds and seven points.
Tonight marked the third year in a row Ramapo has participated in the WBCA Pink Zone/Kay Yow Cancer fund. Donations, ticket sales and concession sales all went towards the team's donation to the fun.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to conference rival New Jersey City University on Saturday at 6:00 PM.
