Andre Kenny (Jersey City, NJ) recorded a double-double with a season high 32 points and ten boards as he led the Ramapo College men's basketball team to a 92-90 victory over UMass-Dartmouth.
The Roadrunners now stand at 9-2 overall as they have won their last five games. UMass-Dartmouth who is ranked 22nd in the d3hoops.com Division III poll, falls to 6-3.
Kenny made a jumper in the second half with 10:30 remaining in the game to tie the game at 68 and rookie
Stephon Treadwell (Newark, NJ) made two foul shots to take at 70-68 lead. Ramapo never trailed from that point on as they hung on for their ninth victory of the season.
Kenny went 14-25 from the floor while dishing out six assists and four steals. Sophomore
LaQuan Peterkin (Paterson, NJ) tallied 17 points as he went 7-8 from the field and 3-4 from the foul line while grabbing seven defensive rebounds and blocked four shots. Senior
Isaiah Lynch (Linden, NJ) added 11 points of his own while sophomore
Garret Thiel (Middletown, NJ) recorded seven points and four assists.
The Roadrunners grabbed 42 total rebounds to UMass-Dartmouth's 34. Ramapo shot 63% from the field in the game and 59% from the line.
The Roadrunners continue play in the ECAC Holiday Festival on Monday, January 4th at 12:00 PM against Wesley College.
