Mahwah, NJ:  Sophomore Amanda South (Fairless, PA) of Kean University scored nine goals in a 15-13 win over the Ramapo College women's lacrosse team today at the Athletic Center.  The Roadrunners fall to 2-8 overall, 1-3 in the Skyline and 0-3 in the NJAC while the Cougars improve to 6-7 overall, 4-0 in the Skyline and 1-2 in the NJAC.
Ramapo was leading 6-3 with just over twelve minutes to play in the first half before Kean would tie the game at seven heading into the second half of play.
Senior Stephanie Cirino (Warminster, PA) scored her 31st goal of the year on a free position shot before South connected on her own free position shot to put Kean up 2-0. The Roadrunners would score the next six goals to go up 6-3.  Rookie 
Jessica Long (Wayne, NJ) took a pass from rookie 
Lindsey Jachens (Montvale, NJ) to put Ramapo on the board before rookie 
Christina Cigolini (Ridgewood, NJ) tied the game at 2-2.  Junior 
Angela Belotta (Colonia, NJ) hit the back of the net off a pass from rookie 
Deanna Spadaccini (Pearl River, NY) before Cigolini scored on a free position shot.  Sophomore 
Jenna Pfarr (Cranford, NJ) and Long each scored a goal to put the Ramapo up 6-2 before South ripped a shot into the back of the net for Kean, 6-3.
Pfarr would score with eleven minutes to go in the first half before Kean scored four more goals to tie the game.  Cirino scored back-to-back goals before South did the same with just under 5:28 to play in the half, 7-7.
In the second half, Ramapo and Kean would tie the score four times before Kean pulled away with 6:37 to go in the half as South scored her 37th goal of the season to go up 15-12 in favor of Kean.
Belotta got one back for Ramapo on a free position shot, 13-15 but Kean's defense held the Roadrunners the final four minutes of the game to hold on for the win. 
The Cougars' rookie Gina Petrizzo (Hopatcong, NJ) recorded four saves in the win while rookie Sabrina Vargas (Elizabeth, NJ) posted two saves. South recorded nine goals while Cirino posted three.
For Ramapo, junior 
Megan Tierney (Wayne, NJ) suffered the loss, she posted 19 saves. Pfarr and Long each had four goals while Belotta and Cigolini each had two. 
The Roadrunners host Skyline rival, Polytechnic University on Saturday, April 18th at 1:00 PM.
