Kissimmee, FL: The Ramapo College softball team picked up two wins at the Rebel Spring Games over Utica College (0-2), 4-1 and Springfield College (1-1), 6-1. The Roadrunners now stand at 4-0 on the season.

Marilee Farmer (Toms River, NJ) tied the game at one when she scored from on sophomore
Brittney McKeon's (Toms River, NJ) single to centerfield. Sophomore
Rachel Wong (Livingston, NJ) who reached on a fielder's choice earlier in the inning and McKeon came around to score on the same pass ball to take the lead 3-1. Ramapo tacked on an insurance run when sophomore
Stephanie Malgeri (Montville, NJ) ripped a double to leftfield that scored rookie
Tiffany Fischer (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) from first base who walked earlier in the inning.
Utica's rally in the bottom of the seventh was cut short when sophomore
Deanna Giordano (Clifton, NJ) struck out the last batter of the game after Utica scored one unearned run with three straight singles and a throwing error at the plate allowing one run to score.
Giordano picked up the 4-2 win improving to 2-0 on the season, she struck out eight and gave up two runs, one earned. Rookie
Laura Herget (Paramus, NJ) was 2-3 while Fischer was 1-2 with one run scored.
In game two against Springfield College, Ramapo jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Malgeri ripped a double to left field plating Wong who reached on a infield single to short stop to lead off second inning, Fischer, who reached on a fielder's choice, scored from third base after the throw coming into the outfield was over thrown.
The Roadrunners scored four runs on three hits in the third inning to take a 6-0 lead. With the bases loaded, junior
Jen Vitorino (Old Bridge, NJ) ripped a hard single up the middle to plate senior
Kelly Schriber (Montclair, NJ) and Farmer who both walked earlier in the inning. Fischer ripped a double to right field to bring home Wong before sophomore
Jamie Chalkley (West Milford, NJ) singled to left field allowing Vitorino to score from third base.
The Pride scored a run in the sixth inning when Shanda Kogut recorded a bunt single before being advanced to second base on a single to center field by Danielle Spiro. Michelle Wlosek ripped a single to left field to plate Kogut.
Wong finished the game with a perfect 2-2 with two runs scored while Vitorino and Fischer both went 2-3 with one run scored, Vitorino recorded two RBI while Fischer added one.
Sophomore
Lyndsay Buehler (River Vale, NJ) pitched a complete game four-hitter, striking out a team high 11 batters with no walks.
The Roadrunners return to action tomorrow when they take on St. Norbert at 11:00 AM and Millikin at 3:00 PM.
