TCNJ WOMEN'S BASKETBALL SWEEPS RAMAPO AS FRANK AND DEPKEN POST DOUBLE-DOUBLES

Ewing, NJ…The College of New Jersey's women's basketball team hosted the Road Runners of Ramapo College on Saturday night in Packer Hall. The Lions came away with a 61-44 victory to sweep Ramapo this season and improve to 13-7 overall and 10-4 in the NJAC, while the Road Runners fall to 9-12 overall and 4-10 in the league,

TCNJ's senior Erin Frank (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) and junior center Breanne Depken (Oradell, NJ/River Dell) added double-doubles in the victory as Frank had 15 points and 12 boards, while Depken chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds.After opening the game on an 8-0 run, TCNJ led 30-20 at the half as Frank Depken added eight points a piece for the Lions. The two teams were even on the boards as they had 24 rebounds in the first session as the Lions had eight blocks in the first half as well, but were 0-6 from three-point range. Ramapo pulled within five points in the second half at the 13:20 mark, trailing 37-32, but the Lions pulled away and did not look back.

Ramapo's sophomore center Allison Beller (MorrisPlains, NJ/Morristown) chipped in six of her 10 points in the first half and finished with seven rebounds and a pair of blocks. Junior Keona Palmer (Port Reading, NJ/Woodbridge) added seven points and team-high nine rebounds for Ramapo.

Sophomore forward Sara Best (High Bridge, NJ/Voorhees) added 11 points, while junior forward Megan Hueter (Haddon Heights, NJ/HaddonHeights) added 12 points for TCNJ.
