DURU NETS ALL IN 3-1 VICTORY OVER DEVILS OF FDU-FLORHAM
Mahwah NJ : The Ramapo College men's soccer team recorded their fourth victory of the year behind freshman MUTLU DURU (Paterson, NJ ) who netted all three of Ramapo's goals. The Roadrunners improve to 4-0 while FDU-Florham falls to 0-3.
DURU gave the Roadrunners a 1-0 lead at 12:05 off an assist from junior captain WILL MAZZUTO (Saddle River, NJ ) before Greg Belza (Pennsauken, NJ ) tied the game at 39:47. Christian DiRieuzo (Madison, NJ ) earned the assist on the Devil's goal that ended the half tied at one.
Just under nine minutes into the second half of play, DURO connected with sophomore RAFFAELE LAURETTA (Saddle Brook, NJ) netting what turned out to be the game winner. The pair connected once again at 60:30 taking the 3-1 lead. The goal was DURU'S fifth of the year.
Rookie goal tender MIKE KULL (Millville, NJ ) played the full 90 minutes recording two saves with one goal against while Mike Soukup (Pennsauken, NJ ) posted seven saves with three goals against in the full game.
The Roadrunners will travel to Eastern Connecticut on Saturday, September 10th for a 2:30 PM start.
