COLLEGE OF NEW JERSEY CRUISES BY RAMAPO, 79-54

Mahwah , NJ : The Lions of the College of New Jersey cruised by the Roadrunners of Ramapo College, 79-54 in a NJAC match-up at the Bradley Center in Mahwah. TCNJ remains in first place in the New Jersey Athletic Conference improving to 12-1 while standing 18-3 overall. Ramapo falls to 8-12 overall, 3-9 in the conference.

From tip-off, TCNJ led Ramapo spreading the gap to double digits (10) just under six minutes into the game. The Lions led by as many as 20 in the first twenty minutes shooting 15-29 (52%) over Ramapo's 9-30 (30%). TCNJ spread the gap to 33 in the second dropping the Roadrunners by 25, 79-54. TCNJ shot 29-61 (48%) for the game while Ramapo shot 22-63 (35%).

Junior forward Erin Frank (Toms River, NJ) led the Lions with 15 points shooting 6-9 while Alexa Shields (Oakhurst, NJ ) and Danica Miller (Rutherford, NJ ) netted 12 and nine points shooting 4-9 and 4-6 respectively. Frank grabbed six rebounds and senior guard Theresa DiMedio (Berlin, NJ ) dished out a team-high three assists.

For the Roadrunners, junior VANESSA VARGAS (Union City, NJ ) and senior captain JANINE CAPPADONA (Atlantic Highlands, NJ ) led the team sinking 18 and 13 points respectively while sophomore KEONA PALMER (Port Reading, NJ) added ten in the loss. VARGAS grabbed a team-high five steals and dished out a team-high four assists.

The Roadrunners will travel to New Jersey City on Monday, February 7th for a 6:00 PM start while TCNJ will host Rowan University on Fenruary 9th at 6:00 PM.
