Mahwah, NJ: The College of New Jersey Lions beat the Ramapo College Roadrunners today 1-0, at the Athletic Center in Mahwah. The Lions finish the regular season at 5-11-2, 3-4-2 NJAC while the Roadrunners finish standing at 12-3-2, 5-3-2 in the conference.
With only ten minutes left in the game, freshman Matt Woolston (Shrewsbury, NJ) netted a shot to break the 0-0 tie giving the Lions a 1-0 edge over the Roadrunners. Ramapo came close to tying the game with five minutes left when a breakaway shot by sophomore KYLE HOFFMAN (Bridewater, NJ) hit the left post.
Ramapo goalkeeper, freshman JON CASTELLI (Wenonah, NJ) recorded ten saves, finishing the season with a 0.37 goals against average. Net minder, Shawn Mecchi tallied three saves in the game.
