Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's basketball team faced the Lions of The College of New Jersey today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners fell, 59-39, dropping to 9-8 overall and 4-6 in the NJAC, while TCNJ improves to 9-6 overall and 5-5 in the conference.
The College of New Jersey took control of the game right from the beginning, out shooting Ramapo 45% to 23% from the floor.
For the Roadrunners, STEPHANIE PILLARI (Westwood, NJ) scored eight points, with four steals and four rebounds. KELLY BARTZ (Madison, NJ) chipped in seven points, while MELINDA DIODONET (Bogota, NJ) and VANESSA VARGAS (Unon City, NJ) each had five a piece.
Kristen McCandless (Haddonfield, NJ) lead the Lions of TCNJ with 16 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Liz Martin (Shamong, NJ) recorded 12 rebounds and nine points, while Thereasa DiMedio (Berlin, NJ) added in nine points of her own.
The Roadrunners will travel to William Paterson on Wednesday, January 29th at 8:00 PM.
