Mahwah, NJ: Senior Cheryl Kulesa (Clemeton, NJ) netted 22 points to lead Rutgers Camden to a 66-63 victory over the Roadrunners of Ramapo College. Ramapo falls to 4-2 overall, 1-2 NJAC while the Scarlet Raptors improve to 4-1 overall, 2-1 NJAC.
The Roadrunners shot 24-78, 31%, from the floor behind Camden's 28-63, 44%. Ramapo went 5-27 from three-point range while Camden shot 4-17 from the arc.
Kulesa pulled down eight boards and senior Molly Anne Light (Glouster, NJ) recorded 16 points and four total boards for the team. Erin James (Glouster, NJ) tallied 12 points and nine rebounds while dishing out seven assists in the game.
For the Roadrunners, junior captain STEPHANIE PILLARI (Westwood, NJ) netted 19 points while rookie VANESSA VARGAS (Union City, NJ recorded her third double-double of the season with 13 points and ten rebounds. JANINE CAPPADONA (Atlantic Highlands, NJ) contributed six points and six assists while adding in nine total rebounds.
