Mahwah, NJ: The Kean University men's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College and snapped the Roadrunners four-match win streak tonight at the Bradley Center, 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-17). The Cougars now stand at 11-5 overall and 2-0 in NJAC play while the Roadrunners move to 6-8 overall and 0-3 in the league.
The Cougars hit nearly .300 in the match with 36 total kills on 78 attempts with 13 errors to hit .295. Chris Mitchell hit .783 with a match-high 18 kills on 23 attempts and no errors while he added four digs and one assisted block. Caden Krzyazak recorded seven kills on 16 attempts with just two errors to hit .313 while adding three assisted blocks. David Flores posted 29 assists along with one kill and three digs. Tyler Quinn led the team on defense with ten digs.
For the Roadrunners,
Amari Menter led the team with 14 kills on 32 attempts with seven errors with one ace and two digs.
Justin Hidalgo tallied seven kills and one solo block while he was tied for the team lead in digs with seven.
Sean McNally also collected seven digs on defense for the team while adding two kills and two assists. Ramapo posted 32 total kills as a team on 100 attempts with 23 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on March 3rd when they host the University of Valley Forge at the Bradley Center at 6:00 PM.
