New York, NY: The New York University men's volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-15) win over visiting Ramapo College tonight at the John A. Paulson Center. The Violets move to 8-2 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-6 overall.
The Roadrunners held their own in the match against #6-ranked NYU before the Violets went on scoring runs late in each set to take the match in three. NYU hit .523 in the match with 40 total kills on 65 attempts with just six errors while they added six total blocks including three solo blocks. BoJameson Ebeling led NYU hitting .737 with 14 kills on 19 attempts and no errors. Ebeling added four total blocks including two solo along with three digs and one assist. Artyom Derkach hit .643 with ten kills on 14 attempts and one error. Krish Vasan posted 32 assists in the match along with four digs and one kill. Cade Miller added two assisted blocks, five kills and two digs while Krish Vasan and Bennet Tchaikovsky each collected four digs on defense.
Jan Tracz led the Roadrunners in the match with nine kills while he added one ace and three digs.
Amari Menter tallied seven kills while
Joseph Duca posted team highs with 18 assists and three aces.
Sean McNally collected four digs in the match on defense. Ramapo posted 23 total kills on 76 attempts with 17 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host a tri-match on Saturday, Feb. 14th at the Bradley Center. They will take on Russell Sage College at 11am and John Jay College at 2pm. The two visiting teams will play a neutral match at 12:30pm.
