MEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS TWO MATCHES ON THE ROAD

Madison, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches today on the road at Drew University. The host Rangers defeated the Roadrunners, 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-22) while Eastern University earned a 3-1 (25-10, 25-19, 25-17) win over Ramapo. The Roadrunners move to 2-4 overall.

In the first match of the day, Drew (5-3 overall) tallied 38 total kills in the victory over the Roadrunners. They were led by Matthew Adegbite who hit .478 in the match with 12 kills on 23 attempts with just one error. Gio Martin posted 11 kills as he hit .444 on 18 attempts and three errors. Eric Forget led the team with 12 digs while Quinn Donahue posted 25 assists to lead the way while he posted five kills, one ace and three digs. For Ramapo, Justin Hidalgo posted six kills and four digs while Josh Barrett posted five kills, two aces and four digs. Jan Tracz contributed with five kills, two solo blocks and three digs while Xavier Fabre posted five kills, one block and one dig. The team collected 26 total kills in the match.

In the second match of the day, Eastern (3-4 overall) outlasted the Roadrunners in a four-set match. Ramapo was led by Tracz who posted 11 kills while adding seven digs and two aces. Sebastian Rodriguez collected seven kills, one ace and three digs while Caleb Ford and Hidalgo each posted five kills apiece. Hidalgo added one ace, one block and six digs. Sean McNally tallied 12 digs on defense to lead the team while Joseph Duca dished out 26 assists. For the Eagles, three players tallied double digit kills. Kaodi Wokocha led the way with 16 kills, two blocks and six digs while Colby Arvesen posted 15 kills, seven digs and one ace. Connor Tucholski posted ten kills along with three blocks and one dig. Symir Byrd and Kadin Kolstad led the way on defense with 15 and 13 digs respectively while Ronan Landis dished out a team high 38 assists.

The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 3rd when they travel to Hunter College for a 6:00pm match.
