Madison, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team won their fifth game in a row with a 3-0 shutout over Saint Elizabeth University tonight in non-conference action. The Roadrunners improve to 7-1-1 overall while the Eagles now stand at 0-3-3 overall.
Ramapo scored back-to-back goals in the first half to open the scoring as
Alim Lita scored his first goal of the game in the 28th minute (27:03).
Lucas Mielnikiewicz posted the team's second goal of the game in the 30th minute (29:16) with an assist from
Leo Mandile for a 2-0 score. In the second half, Lita took a pass from
Gianfranco Ponce to extend the Ramapo lead, 3-0. This is the Roadrunner's third shutout in a row and their sixth overall so far this season. Ramapo recorded 19 shots in the game with nine on goal while they held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks. Saint Elizabeth posted seven shots in the game with two being on goal.
Zachary Natt posted two saves for Ramapo while Andrew Gonzalez collected six for the Eagles.
Ramapo returns to action on the road on Saturday when they open up NJAC conference play at Rutgers-Camden University at 1pm.
