Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team posted a 2-0 shutout victory over visiting FDU-Florham tonight at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Roadrunners move to 3-4 overall and win their second game in a row. The Devils fall to 3-5 on the year.
The game remained scoreless until the third quarter when the Roadrunners got on the board.
Ana Plaia posted her fifth goal of the season in the 31st minute (30:52) off an assist from
Allison Tanasy. Late in the fourth (57:09),
Eliana Momm posted her second goal of the season as
Isabella Casale earned the assist to give the Roadrunners an insurance goal with just under three minutes left to play. Ramapo posted 14 shots on goal in the game along with eight penalty corners. FDU-Florham recorded three shots on goal and four penalty corners in the game.
Sam Fried earned the shutout with three saves in the net for the Roadrunners. Adrianna Goodwin posted 12 saves for the Devils.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday on the road at Delaware Valley University in a non-conference game scheduled for 6:00pm.
