Gwynedd Valley, PA: The Ramapo College field hockey team scored two late game goals to defeat Gwynedd Mercy University, 3-2. The Roadrunners move to 2-4 overall while the Griffins now stand at 2-5 overall.

Gianna Radcliffe scored in the first minute of action for the Griffins as Mackenzie Reed added an assist, 1-0.
Ana Plaia scored off a pass from
Allison Tanasy to tie the game in the 13th minute before Lillie Uttenreither put Gwynedd Mercy up 2-1 in the 17th minute. With two second remaining in the third quarter
Abigail DeYoung hit the back of the net off a pass from
Kayla Gray to tie the game for the Roadrunners, 2-2. In the 55th minute,
Isabella Casale scored her first career goal, the eventual game-winner, as Plaia assisted with 54:33 on the clock.Â
The Ramapo defense held off the Griffins for the remainder of the game to take home the 3-2 non-conference road victory. Each team had 18 shots in the game while the Roadrunners put nine on goal to Gwynedd Mercy's 11. The Griffins held a slight 11-10 edge in penalty corners while
Sam Fried posted nine saves in the net for the Roadrunners in the win. Nikki Williams posted six saves for the Griffins.

The Roadrunners return to action at home on Sept. 24th when they host FDU-Florham in non-conference action at 7pm.
