NJCU OUTLASTS RAMAPO IN SKYLINE SEMIFINAL FIVE-SET THRILLER

KIRCHOFER, CASCONE, MEYER & MCNALLY POST CAREER HIGHS

Jersey City, NJ: The #2-seeded New Jersey City University men's volleyball team held off the #3-seeded Ramapo College tonight in a five-set thriller in the Skyline Semifinals. The Gothic Knights move to 22-8 overall and advance to the Skyline Championship Match while the Roadrunners drop to 19-10 on the season and will wait to hear of a possible ECAC Tournament bid.

Marcus Pardaise recorded a career-high 33 kills and hit .379 in the match while he added ten digs, one ace, and two total blocks. Matt Peralta tallied 12 kills and hit .423 while he posted nine digs, three aces and two blocks. Victor De Souza put down ten kills while he added three digs and four assisted blocks. The team hit .286 overall with 65 kills on 154 attempts with 21 errors. Alex Casais dished out 54 assists in the match while he added 16 digs and two kills. Anthony Matute posted 19 digs to lead the Gothic Knights on defense.

Reece Kirchofer led the Roadrunners with a career-high 24 kills while collecting his 1,000th career kill of his career. He tallied 12 digs and three blocks. Brady Cascone also posted a career-high in kills tonight with 20 while he recorded two assists and six digs. Caleb Ford put down eight kills on 16 attempts with just one error to hit .438 in the match while he collected four blocks (one solo) and one ace. JoJo Meyer dished out a career-high 54 assists while he tallied eight digs and one assisted block. Jan Tracz contributed with six kills, a team-high four aces, six digs, and two blocks (one solo). Sean McNally recorded a career-high 19 digs in the match to help lead the team on defense.
