Mahwah, NJ: The Rowan University women's basketball team earned a 65-41 NJAC rowan win over Ramapo College this afternoon. The Profs improve to 15-7 overall and 11-4 in the league while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-20 overall and 1-14 in the NJAC.
The Profs held the Roadrunners to under 30 points heading into the final quarter of action while they connected on ten three-pointers in the game. Three Profs scored in double figures as they were led by Kate Herlihy with 18 including four made three-pointers. Abigail Jazmin and Jes Mastriano each came off the bench to tally ten points. Shayla Johnson grabbed a team high seven rebounds. Rowan shot 39% (22-56) from the field, 35% (10-28) from the three-point line and 78% (11-14) from the free throw line. The Profs scored 30 points off Ramapo turnovers in the game.
For the Roadrunners,
Alison Ahern collected a team high 18 points as she shot 50% (6-12) from the field and 100% (6-6) from the free throw line.
Lauren Flatt contributed with seven points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Brianna Smith pulled down a team high five rebounds. Ramapo shot 33% (15-45) from the field, 50% (3-6) from the three-point line and 57% (8-14) from the free throw line.
Ramapo returns to action on Feb. 12th when they travel to Rutgers-Newark University for a NJAC game scheduled for 6pm.
