Wilkes-Barre, PA: The Ramapo College women's lacrosse team earned a 15-5 non-conference win on the road today over King's College. The Roadrunners move to 2-0 overall while Monarchs open the season at 0-1 overall.
Lauren Travaglini put the Roadrunners on the board in the first quarter with an unassisted goal (11:37). The two teams traded goals before the Roadrunners poured in three straight goals which continued into the second quarter for a 5-2 lead.
Erin Smeilus scored with 3:31 on the clock in the second while she added her second goal of the game with 13:16 in the second.
Bethany Glaser gave Ramapo their fifth goal of the game with 10:15 on the clock, 5-2. The Monarchs scored three straight goals of their own to tie the game at five before Ramapo scored the final three goals of the half for an 8-5 lead.

Kassidy Baez and Glaser each found the back of the net. Ramapo scored all three goals in the third quarter as Glaser added two and Espinosa put in one as they extended their lead to 11-5 heading in the final frame of action. Baez tallied a goal off a pass from
Darrien Pennachio to start the fourth before Glaser added an unassisted goal at 7:17.
Jada Oddo scored her first career goal with 3:55 remaining for the final goal of the game for either team as Ramapo led, 15-5.
Glaser led the way for Ramapo with five goals while she added one assist, four ground balls and a team high six caused turnovers. Baez and Smeilus each added three goals while Espinosa posted two goals and two assists. Travaglini posted four ground balls, two caused turnovers, one goal and led the way with three assists. On defense,
Ashley Czeczuga and
Kristina McClain each collected five ground balls to lead the team and two caused turnovers.
Leah Whitney was second on the team with four caused turnovers in the game while she added three ground balls.
Daniella Indomenico posted five saves in the win for the Roadrunners. Alyssa Reeber tallied six saves in the loss for King's.
Ramapo returns to action when they travel to St. Joseph's University Long Island on Wednesday, Feb. 26th for a non-conference game at 5:30 PM.
