Dallas, PA: The Ramapo College men's swim team competed at Misericordia University this afternoon in a Tri-Meet hosted by the Cougars which also included visiting Wilkes University. The Roadrunners defeated Wilkes, 134-108, while they fell to the Cougars, 145.5-96.5.
Three Roadrunners won four individual events in the tri-meet. Joseph Swede won the 50 breaststroke in 28.28 seconds while
Doruk Evcimen recorded wins in two events. Evcimen won the 100 butterfly in 53.92 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 49.49 seconds.
Adam Wright continued to shine in the 500 freestyle this season with a first-place finish as he clocked in at 5:10.49. Wright and Swede both placed second in two other events, Wright in the 200 freestyle in 1:52.42 and Swede in the 50 butterfly in 24.61 seconds.
AJ Guevara (55.07 seconds) and
Tyler Finkle (23.74 seconds) finished in third-place in the 100 butterfly and 50 freestyle respectively. Evcimen also grabbed third place overall in the 50 butterfly with a time of 25.01. In the relays, the Roadrunners finished second in the 200 medley relay with a combined time of 1:42.71. The team was made up of Any Shkolnik, Swede, Guevara and Finkle. To wrap up the meet, the Ramapo "A" 200 freestyle relay team finished second with a combined time of 1:35.30. The team was made up of Finkle, Swede, Wright and Evcimen.
The Roadrunners return to action in 2026 when they host New Paltz on Jan. 17th at 2:00 PM. The team will honor their senior class in a pre-meet ceremony.
