Dallas, PA: The Ramapo College men's swim team competed at the Cougar Splash Invitational hosted by Misericordia University. The Roadrunners wrap up a great weekend of strong individual and team swims with a fourth-place finish as they recorded 302 points.
The Roadrunners wrapped up their strong showing in the meet with a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay. The team posted a combined time of 3:10.38 to win the event as they came from behind during the anchor leg as
Doruk Evcimen entered the pool behind by half a body length. The team was made up of
Tyler Finkle,
Joe Swede,
Adam Wright and Evcimen. He clocked in at 46.57 seconds to out touch the University of Scranton at the wall who finished second in 3:10.73. Individually, Wright won the 1,650 free when he clocked in at 16:32.38, which was a season high. Evcimen posted a second-place finish in the 100 freestyle (47.62 seconds) while Swede placed fourth in 47.48 seconds.
Anthony Chiu grabbed a top ten finish in the 200 breaststroke when he posted a time of 2:19.55 for a ninth-place finish.
The Roadrunners return to Misericordia University on December 6th for a tri-meet with the host Cougars and Wilkes University starting at 1pm.
