Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated William Paterson University tonight, 181-80. The Roadrunners move to 4-3 overall while the Pioneers now stand at 8-4 overall.
Doruk Evcimen won three events in the meet to help lead the Roadrunners to victory. Evcimen won the 200 free (1:49.18), 200 fly (2:05.67) and the 400 IM (4:17.61).
Andy Shkolnik added two wins in the 100 and 200 backstroke with times of 59.67 seconds and 2:12.89 respectively.
Adam Wright won the 100 breaststroke (1:05.68) while
Tyler Finkle won the 50 free in 23.12 seconds.
Anthony Chiu also won the 100 fly in 58.78 seconds. The 200-medley relay team recorded a combined time of 1:48.04 to win the event. The team was made up of Shkolnik,
Jeffrey Hanlon, Chiu and
Devin Korsak. The 200-freestyle relay team won as they posted a combined time of 1:34.32. The team was made up of Finkle,
Joe Swede, Wright and Evcimen.
The Roadrunners will now look towards the four-day NJAC Championship Meet from Feb. 12th through the 15th in Hampton, VA at the Hampton Aquaplex.
