Mahwah, NJ: The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced the 2025 NJAC Women's Volleyball All-Conference team this morning as rookie Asay Akar earned her first postseason honor of her career. The all-conference team and major award winners are voted on by the 10 league coaches using conference-only statistics.
Akar was named NJAC Second Team All-Conference after leading the Roadrunners offensively this season. She started all 28 matches for the Roadrunners and recorded 343 kills (3.56 per set) which puts her 10th all-time in kills in a season. She also led the way with 59 aces while collecting 13 assists, 19 blocks (11 solo). She was second on the team with 234 digs, 2.44 per set. Against conference-only opponents, Akar finished fourth in the league with 98 kills and third in service aces with 17.
