Hackettstown, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team won their second straight match with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-22) road win over Centenary University. The Roadrunners improve to 12-4 overall while the Cyclones stand at 8-8 overall.
Asya Akar led the Roadrunners with 15 kills on the night while hitting .444 in the match with just three errors on 27 attempts. Akar also posted four aces, one solo block and three digs.
Wendy Palaguachi led the way with five aces while on defense
Emma Garcia led the team with eight digs.
Jasmine Rolle hit .364 with six kills on 11 attempts with just two errors.
Katie Bishop recorded 24 assists to lead the team while adding two kills, one block and six digs. The team recorded 33 kills in the match on 105 attempts with just 13 errors.
For Centenary, Poppy Skjonnemand led the team with 10 kills and 13 digs while she added a solo block. Jenny Thistlethwaite added six kills, two aces, seven digs and one assist while Vanessa Pagano recorded 15 assists. Rey Bennett also collected double digit digs in the match with 11 while adding three aces. The team recorded 24 total kills on 96 attempts with 14 errors.
The Roadrunners will host a non-conference tri-match at the Bradley Center on Saturday. Ramapo will take on Mount Saint Mary College at 10am, Hunter and MSMC will play at 12pm and the Roadrunners will play Hunter at 2pm.
