WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL WINS FOURTH STRAIGHT MATCH

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's volleyball team earned two wins today in a non-conference tri-match. The Roadrunners won their fourth straight match and move to 14-4 overall.

Ramapo 3, Mount Saint Mary College 1
Three Roadrunners recorded double digit kills in the match as they were led by Asay Akar who put down 19 while Valentina Palen added 13 and Jasmine Rolle contributed with 12. Akar also posted ten digs, three aces and two assists while Palen added 12 digs, two aces and two total blocks including one solo. Katie Bishop dished out a team high 41 assists while six digs and four kills while Emma Garcia and Wendy Palaguachi each collected 14 digs to lead the team on defense. Ramapo recorded 55 kills in the match while they tallied 13 aces.

For the Knights, Jonaiya Williams led the way with 11 kills while Julianna Simone added ten. Vanessa Seymour collected 20 assists while Sofia Fredericks tallied ten in the match. On defense, Erin Lema and Sienna Pollock each recorded 12 digs on defense to lead the team.

Ramapo 3, Hunter College 1
Ramapo won their second match of the day as Akar posted 12 kills, a team high 14 digs and two aces. Rolle added ten kills, two digs and two blocks while Palen added nine kills, three aces and seven digs. Bishop dished out a team high 28 assists while adding nine kills, three kills and two blocks. Garcia posted ten digs and four assists. The team recorded 45 total kills in the match.

Amina Moummad led the Hawks with 14 kills while adding six digs. Kassidy Cruz Nuesi posted nine kills and one block while Lily Mattison recorded eight kills, 11 digs and six blocks (one solo). Natalie Morrill led the team on defense with 14 digs. The team recorded 41 total kills in the match.

The Roadrunners return to action when they host FDU-Florham on Thursday, Oct. 16 for a non-conference match set for 7:00 PM.
