Montclair, NJ: The Montclair State University women's soccer team remained undefeated with a shutout victory over Ramapo College tonight at MSU Soccer Park. The Red Hawks move to 9-0-5 overall and 5-0-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 5-8-2 overall and 1-6-0 in the league.
Kylie Prendergast collected the first of two goals in the game in the 13th minute (12:52) with a goal from Samira Lukovic to put the Red Hawks on the board, 1-0. Just 30 seconds into the second half, Mackenzie Albert posted her seventh of the season (45:30) before Prendergast posted her 11th goal of the season and second of the game. Carly Guzzardo earned the assist on the team's third goal of the game as the Red Hawks extended their lead, 3-0. MSU recorded nine shots in the game including five on goal while collecting five corner kicks. All three of Ramapo's shots were on goal while they recorded one corner kick in the game.
Gabby Matias recorded two saves for the Roadrunners while Salange Bell posted three in the shutout win for the Red Hawks.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 25th when they travel to Rowan University for a NJAC game set for 5:00 PM.
