Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team earned a win over Baruch College today at the Adele & Reuben Thomas Pool, 156-102. The Roadrunners open up dual meet action with a 1-0 overall record while the Bearcats open the season at 0-1 overall.
The 200-medley relay team recorded a combined time of 2:02.66. The team was made up of
Mairin Huston,
Grace Korey,
Madi Benefield and
Alazne Sudupe. Individually, Sudupe (12:00.63) and Korey (12:41.80) went 1-2 in the 1,000 freestyle. Benefield won the 200 freestyle in 2:05.18 while Korey (1:16.31) and
Grace Farnum (1:23.40) finished 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke. Sudupe grabbed a first-place finish in the 200 fly in 2:19.84 while
Magdalen Swat finished in third place in3:07.75. Benefield posted another first-place finish in the 100 freestyle in 57.73 seconds while
Brenna Philson placed third overall in 1:04.36. Korey finished second in the 200 breaststroke (2:55.99) while
Maddy Joe placed third overall with a time of 3:04.16. Sudupe won the 500 freestyle in 5:53.58 while
Fifi Amanuel grabbed a third-place finish in 6:23.12. Benefield won the 100 fly in 1:02.44 while Huston won the 200 IM in 2:32.58.
Ramapo returns to action on October 25th when they host Hartwick College and John Jay College in a tri-meet at 2:00 PM.
