Mahwah, NJ: The #16-ranked Rowan University field hockey team topped Ramapo College tonight on the road, 6-1. The Profs improve to 10-3 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 3-8 overall and 0-2 in the league.
The Ramapo defense held Rowan scoreless in the first quarter before the Profs put three goals on the board in the second. Kaylee Weenzel, Sydney Kowalczyk and Lily Bataloni each hit the back of the net for Rowan for the 3-0 lead heading into halftime. Riley McClelland scored in the third quarter for the Profs before Ramapo got on the board in the 48th minute of the fourth.
Eliana Momm (47:59) collected her third goal of the season for the Roadrunners off an assist from
Allison Tanasy. This was Tanasy's fourth straight game where she's either scored a goal or recorded an assist. The Profs tacked on two more goals in the fourth as Olivia Griffin and Kowalczyk each scored, 6-1.
The Roadrunners return to action at home on October 18th when they host Stockton University in NJAC action at 7:00 PM.
