Staten Island, NY: The Ramapo College men's indoor track and field team placed 12th overall at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships this afternoon. The meet was held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Ryan Pena placed 6th overall in the mile run when he clocked in at 4:23.12. Pena also placed 12th in the 800m run with a time of 2:00.55.
Julian Mignone placed 10th overall in the 3k with a time of 9:16.19. The team of
Anthony Gentile,
Logan Natale,
Terrell Lockett and
Mark Shinkorenko, grabbed a 3rd place finish in the 4x200m relay. The team clocked in at 1:29.41 with a new school record. In the 4x400m relay the team posted a 6th the place finish in 3:33.90. That team was made up of Matthew Suero,
Anthony Sileo,
Lindell Mejia and
Colin Unis. Individually, Unis placed 13th overall in the 500m dash in 1:05.53.
In the weight throw,
Sebastian Pross placed 6th overall with a mark of 15.61m while
Braden Holm placed 8th with a mark of 15.15m. In the shot put, Holm grabbed a ninth-place finish with a mark of 13.02m.
Nicolo Caminiti placed 12th in the high jump when he cleared 1.74m while
Anthony Sileo finished in 13th place also clearing 1.74m.
The Roadrunners return to Ocean Breeze on Saturday, Feb. 8th at the Big Apple Invitational which is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM.
