Patchogue, NY: The St. Joseph's University Long Island women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College tonight 1-0. The Golden Eagles remain undefeated on the season at 2-0 overall while the Roadrunners now drop to 1-2 overall.
The Golden Eagles scored a late first half goal when Erica Urbancik tallied her first goal of the season. Gianna Gambino assisted on the game-winner in the 41st minute of action. SJLI held the Roadrunners off the board as Alana Downy posted two saves in the game. The Golden Eagles recorded 17 shots including ten on goal along with seven corner kicks. The Roadrunners posted four total shots including two on goal and one corner kick.
Gabby Matias posted eight saves in the game for Ramapo.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, September 7th when they travel to Manhattanville University for a non-conference game at 4pm.
