Camden, NJ: The Rutgers-Camden University women's volleyball opened the 2024 NJAC season with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-14) win over Ramapo College. The Scarlet Raptors move to 4-9 overall and 1-0 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-7 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
Amanda Fatouh led the way for Ramapo with seven kills while also adding a team high 13 digs.
Riley Stewart posted six kills and one ace while
Katie Bishop dished out a team high 11 assists and added two blocks.
Emma Garcia collected seven digs while Stewart posted six. The Roadrunners tallied 16 kills on 102 attempts with 32 errors.
For Rutgers-Camden, Maria Theruviparambil posted a team high nine kills while Kaitlyn Parrrish added six and Gabby Gbolahan collected five. Gbolahan also posted a team high three aces and six blocks. JoAnna Andrews tallied a team high 12 assists while Avery Ang added five. On defense, Ang collected ten digs while Mia Owens and Sofia Granieri each tallied seven. The team posted 29 kills on 88 attempts with 15 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 1st when they travel to New Jersey City University for a 7pm NJAC match.
