Schenectady, NY: The Union College women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College 2-0 today in non-conference action at College Park Field. Union moved to 4-1-2 overall while the Roadrunners moved to 2-4-1 overall.
Union scored on goal in each half this afternoon as Anabelle Thomas tallied both goals. In the first half she hit the back of the net in the 37th minute (36:53) off an assist from Addison MacDonald to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. In the second half, it was Thomas once again, this time unassisted in the 72nd minute (71:16) for the 2-0 lead.
The Garnet Chargers posted 11 shots on goal which led to nine saves for Roadrunner netminder 
Gabby Matias. Union also held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks in the game.
Ramapo returns to action on Friday, September 27th when they open NJAC play on the road at Rutgers-Camden University. The game is set to start at 7pm.
