Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team earned their first win of the 2024 season tonight in a 3-0 blanking of the Cannoneers of the Pratt Institute in non-conference action. The Roadrunners now stand at 1-1 overall while the Cannoneers also move to 1-1 overall.
Amber Maher scored in the 9th (8:47) minute of the game in the first half to give Ramapo a 1-0 lead off a pass from
Lauren Orr. Maher connected with
Amanda Barr for her second goal of the game in the 20th minute (19:05) to extend the lead, 2-0. The Roadrunners got their final goal of the game in the 32nd minute (31:56) when
Alexandra Donnellan scored her first collegiate goal, unassisted to push the score 3-0.
Ramapo recorded 15 shots on goal in the game to Pratt's two. The Roadrunners also posted four corner kicks while Pratt tallied one.
Gabby Matias earned the win for Ramapo in the net while adding two saves to her season tally.
Madison Miskovitz,
Bella Hudson and
Abigail Whritenour all shared time in the net for the Roadrunners in the second half.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, September 4th when they travel to St. Joseph's University – Long Island for a non-conference game at 7pm.
