Ewing, NJ: The #11 ranked College of New Jersey women's lacrosse team defeated Ramapo College 20-1 today in the first NJAC conference game of the season. The Lions move to 7-3 overall and 1-0 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 3-6 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
The Lions put three goals on the board in the first quarter before Ramapo scored.
Erin Smeilus put one in the back of the net for the Roadrunners off a pass from
Kaylie Gresek. TCNJ added five more goals in the first and five in the second to take a 13-0 lead into halftime. The Lions poured in seven more goals in the second half enroute to the 20-1 win.
Alyssa Curto posted five saves in the net for the Roadrunners.
Ramapo returns to action on April 16th when they travel to Montclair State University for a NJAC game at 4:00 PM.
